
Here you’ll need to find an underwater entrance (identified with lanterns) and dodge a few baddies in this soon-to-be Beast Tribe hunting ground. West of this area is a small cavern containing the next Aether Current. Coordinates - X:18.9, Y: 20 After picking up the last Aether Current, head directly south and cross the bridge. Mare Lamentorum Aether Currents - Location 8. In each zone, there will be ten Aether Currents spread across the map for you to find and activate, along with five quest-tied Aether Currents. The Aether Current can be found directly north in that chunk of the moon. The Aether Current is up a small hill behind a secluded tree. Next, they can go to the far west of Garlemald at X: 11.1, Y: 22.8, Z: 0.6. Some of these quests might only appear after progressing through the story. Some Aether Current are rewarded for completing quests, and others are found in the field. Players can enter the small, central tower in Liminal Station IV to find the orb at X: 23.1, Y: 23.5, Z: 0.2. Aether Current In certain Heavensward, Stormblood, Shadowbringers, and Endwalker zones, attuning to Aether Currents will allow certain mounts to fly. You’ll have to progress through the story to learn the ability to actually dive underwater. The fourth Aether Current in FFXIV Endwalkers Garlemald is located in Regio Domorum. The only one that might be tricky is number 10. The first location after you get to Kugane, The Ruby Sea is a very daunting location, especially considering you have to swim everywhere.

It’s based on how far you are in the area’s story, so keep an eye on the map after story missions to find featured icons (ones with + on the bottom left of the icon). Here are all FF14 Aether Currents by zone: Labyrinthos. Note: You will need to complete five Aether-related quests outside of the ten you need to attune. Some can be tricky, so we’ll try to better inform you where exactly you’ll need to go.
#FF14 AETHER CURRENTS FULL#
We have collected a full list of locations for each Aether Current in all of the Stormblood areas, with maps and screenshots to better help you out. Unfortunately, these are scattered all across each area, so you’ll need to keep your eyes open… or you could just find them here. These are locked behind Aether Currents, which players simply need to find and attune. It’s based on how far you are in the area’s story, so keep an eye on the map after story missions to find featured icons (ones with + on the bottom left of the icon). This continues with Stormblood as being able to fly across the map will save countless hours off any player’s play time. Actually getting around was made significantly easier, especially considering how multi-layered most of the maps were. Rak’tika will require you to complete the final dungeon before flying.One of the best additions to Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward was flying mounts. In certain Heavensward, Stormblood, Shadowbringers, and Endwalker zones, attuning to Aether Currents will allow certain mounts to fly. Some of the areas you’ll be able to fly before completing the key mission that moves you along to the next section of Shadowbringers, while others will require you to complete everything. While we won’t show you where to find the quests to unlock the side-quest centric currents, mainly because they are easily to locate, we will show you the exact locations of each aether current blow.

#FF14 AETHER CURRENTS PATCH#
Historical Prior to Patch 6.0, the Aether Compass was found in the Key Items tab of your inventory. It is used to locate Aether Currents in the field and can be found in the Collection menu. If you have trouble viewing the red dots, you may choose to save a map (right click -> save as). The Aether Compass gives you the bearing and distance to the nearest Aether Current upon use. If it is lost, a replacement can be obtained from Gibrillont in the Forgotten Knight in. Collecting all ten ones spread across the area and doing a number of blue-indicated side quests, players will unlock the ability to use flying mounts in the area. Check out the maps below and look for the red dots for the elusive aether current locations. Aether Compass can be obtained a quest reward from Divine Intervention. The Aether Compass gives you the bearing and distance to the nearest Aether Current upon use. The same quest that awards the player the Black Chocobo and Aether Compass. With its release, we’ve been grinding through it, and of course we’re going to show you where you can get all the Aether Currents.Īether Currents are simply floating green indicators spread across each area that you need to atune by simply touching them. Aether Currents are unlocked after completing the level 50 Heavensward MSQ Divine Intervention. While the release of Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers is technically next week, its early access pre-order incentive allows players to play the game the weekend prior.
